Terms of use — Pochin Points (website and app)
Last updated: 26 October 2026
1. About these terms
These terms cover the Pochin Points scheme, the Pochin website (points.pochin.com) and the Pochin app for iPhone and Android. They are run by Robert Pochin Limited (Pochin House, 2 Murrayfield Road, Leicester, LE3 1UW; company number 00179511) ("Pochin", "we"). By using them you agree to these terms.
2. Who can join
- The scheme is open to existing Pochin trade account customers only. Accounts are set up by Pochin: you can't create one yourself. To join, speak to your Pochin branch.
- One nominated person per Pochin trade account can have a login, and that nominated person must be authorised to act for or on behalf of the business the trade account relates to.
- If you hold more than one Pochin account, each account earns separately. Purchases on different accounts can't be combined.
- Keep access to your email account and your phone secure, because anyone who can read your email can sign in.
3. Earning points
- Each calendar month you earn points worth 1% of your qualifying purchases on your Pochin account (excluding VAT), unless Pochin has agreed a different rate for your account.
- You need to spend at least £100 (excluding VAT) on qualifying products in a calendar month to earn points for that month.
- Points are normally added within the first working week of the following month, and we'll let you know.
- If returns or credits make a month's qualifying spend negative, the negative amount carries forward and is offset against later months before you earn again.
- Pochin may also award bonus points through promotions, each with its own terms.
- Points have no cash value. They can't be exchanged for cash or in-branch credit, transferred, or sold.
- We may correct points awarded in error.
4. Refer a Friend scheme
- A referral reward of 500 points will be added to an Existing Customer's Pochin Points account where they have referred a new credit account customer to us and this New Customer achieves the qualifying spend on their credit account. It cannot be substituted for in-branch credit or cash. If the Existing Customer does not have a Pochin Points account, they can either sign up or can receive a one-off Love2Shop card with the reward on.
- Existing Customers can only receive points for a maximum of 2 referrals.
- The qualifying spend for the New Customer is a minimum of £1,000 excl. VAT within 1 year of opening the credit account. Only one referral reward of 500 points will be made per New Customer.
- New Customers attracting contract support do not count as a "referred customer" and no reward will be paid to the Existing Customer.
- The points will be uploaded to the Existing Customer Account Holder's Pochin Points account once the qualifying spend by the New Customer has been met.
- The New Customer must indicate the Existing Customer's account number OR company name in the appropriate field on the Pochin Credit Application Form.
- The referral reward scheme may be ended at any time (all existing valid referrals will remain valid if the scheme is ended).
- Credit Accounts are subject to status.
- The New Customer must not have previously held a credit or cash account with Robert Pochin Ltd.
- Any tax liability arising from the receipt of the referral reward will be the responsibility of the recipient.
- We reserve the right to withhold the referral reward if there are outstanding amounts due on the Existing Customer's account.
- We reserve the right to change the terms and conditions of the referral reward scheme at any time without prior notice.
5. Spending points
- 1 point = 10p towards rewards. The minimum redemption is £10 (100 points).
- Rewards are digital eGift cards, Love2Shop gift cards sent by post, and top-ups to a Love2Shop card you've linked.
- Your points are spent as soon as you confirm an order. If an order can't be completed, the points are returned.
- Gift cards are issued by third parties, and their own terms (including expiry dates and where they can be used) apply. Gift cards can't be exchanged or refunded once issued. Treat gift card codes like cash.
- Posted cards normally arrive within 3–5 working days. Please give an address you can receive post at.
- The trade account customer is responsible for any tax or national insurance that may arise in connection with the issuing of any reward. Robert Pochin Limited cannot be held liable in this respect.
6. Points expiry
The points year runs from February to January. Points balances reset to zero on 1 February each year, so spend any points you have by the end of January. Some accounts are exempt; if yours is, the app and website show "No expiry". We'll remind you before your points reset.
7. Closing your account
- You can close your account at any time in My details on the website, or in Account in the app.
- Closing your account cancels any unspent points. They can't be restored if you rejoin.
- Gift cards already issued keep working, but you won't be able to view them in your account.
- We may suspend or close your account if we reasonably believe the scheme is being misused or its spirit has been breached, or if your Pochin trade account closes.
8. Changes to the scheme
We may change or end the scheme, or these terms, with at least one month's notice. Where we can, we'll give you a chance to use your points first.
9. Our responsibility
We'll take reasonable care running the scheme, but we aren't responsible for:
- gift cards once they've been issued to you, including lost codes
- third-party retailers
- delays outside our control
- any tax or national insurance that may arise in respect of the issuing of rewards to an end user
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
